The Vision: Custom Architectural Refinement

In the Driftwood Home project, our objective was to demonstrate how foundational cabinetry can be transformed into a bespoke architectural statement. The homeowners sought a cohesive design that bridged the gap between a high-performance kitchen and an elegant entertaining space. By utilizing our Standard Series Cabinets as the base, we focused on a rigorous trim out package to achieve a custom-built aesthetic without the custom-built lead times.

The Solution: Comprehensive Trim and Storage

The hallmark of this installation is the meticulous attention to detail in the finishing. We implemented a full trim out package that includes soaring crown molding, decorative end panels, and under-cabinet skins for a perfectly flush appearance. To enhance the functionality of the kitchen, we installed a custom-profiled wood hood vent that serves as a soft, sculptural focal point above the range. Light rail molding was integrated throughout to elegantly conceal task lighting, ensuring a warm ambiance against the marble-veined countertops and classic subway tile.

The Result: Functional Sophistication

The dedicated beverage station serves as the perfect auxiliary to the main kitchen, featuring an integrated X-style wine storage rack and glass-front cabinetry for stemware display. Stainless steel wine refrigeration is tucked neatly beneath the counter, flanked by cabinetry featuring gold-toned hardware for a touch of transitional luxury. The large kitchen island is anchored by decorative end panels that provide a furniture-quality finish, mirroring the craftsmanship found in the crown and light rail details. This project stands as a testament to how professional trim work and thoughtful storage solutions can elevate a standard cabinet series into a luxury residence staple.
