Two-Tone Kitchen in South Austin's 78704
The Vision: Bold Texture in a Compact Space
Located in the vibrant 78704 area of Austin, this kitchen remodel proves that smaller footprints can deliver massive design impact. The primary challenge was to modernize the workflow while introducing a palette that felt both grounded and airy. The solution involved a sophisticated two-tone cabinetry strategy that utilizes color theory to expand the visual volume of the room.
The Palette: Toffee, White, and Blue
We selected Oxford toffee for the lower cabinetry to provide a rich, organic foundation. This warm wood tone is perfectly offset by Oxford white upper cabinets, which draw the eye upward and reflect natural light throughout the workspace. To bridge these two elements, we installed a stunning blue tile backsplash. The tile features subtle tonal variations that provide a handmade, artisanal feel, creating a focal point that is both calming and contemporary. High-performance white quartz countertops wrap the surfaces, offering a clean and durable finish that ties the aesthetic together.
Craftsmanship and Hardware Details
Precision was paramount in this 78704 project. The cabinetry features timeless Shaker-style joinery, providing a clean-lined look that defines the transitional style. To elevate the design, we integrated brushed gold hardware and a matching gooseneck faucet, adding a layer of warmth and luxury. Modern lighting, including glass pendant fixtures and a sleek microwave integration, ensures the kitchen remains functional for a high-end culinary experience. The final result is a bespoke kitchen that perfectly captures the eclectic yet refined spirit of South Austin living.
