The Project Vision

Our clients sought to infuse their home with personality through a bold yet timeless color palette. The centerpiece of this renovation is a fully custom green kitchen, designed to maximize vertical storage while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic. To ensure continuity throughout the home, we also designed and installed a bespoke sink and vanity for the primary bathroom, echoing the craftsmanship of the kitchen while introducing a unique navy-blue hue.

Crafting the Custom Kitchen

The kitchen features floor-to-ceiling custom shaker-style cabinetry finished in a sophisticated deep sage green. We selected white quartz countertops with subtle gray veining to provide a bright, durable workspace that contrasts beautifully with the dark cabinetry. The integration of modern black hardware provides a tactile finish that grounds the design. Precision joinery was paramount, particularly in the seamless integration of appliance nooks and the multi-tiered pantry walls that utilize every inch of the available footprint.

The Transitional Bathroom Suite

In the bathroom, we continued the theme of custom-built furniture with a navy blue vanity. This piece features a striking quartz countertop with gold-toned veining, perfectly complemented by champagne bronze hardware and faucets. The design incorporates a unique extended vanity top, creating a functional makeup station while maintaining the sleek lines of the transitional style. The result is a cohesive home interior that feels both artisanal and exceptionally functional.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

For projects like our Verdant Sophistication kitchen in Austin, we utilize a premium conversion varnish rather than standard latex paint. This chemical-cure finish provides a much harder, more durable surface that resists the humidity and temperature fluctuations common in Central Texas, ensuring the deep sage tones remain vibrant without the chipping or peeling associated with semi-custom cabinetry.
All of our bespoke millwork, including the transitional navy vanity, features solid wood dovetail drawer boxes. This interlocking joinery provides superior structural integrity over stapled or glued joints, allowing the drawers to support the weight of heavy quartz countertops and withstand the high-frequency use typical of a primary bathroom suite.
Floor-to-ceiling custom cabinetry eliminates the 'dead space' above standard units, providing approximately 25-30% more storage volume. By using precise reveal calibration during installation, we ensure that the cabinetry integrates seamlessly with your home's unique ceiling height and crown molding, creating a built-in look that prefabricated boxes cannot achieve.
While national brands often have 6-month backlogs, TX Cabinet Pros typically delivers fully custom projects within 8 to 12 weeks. Because we handle everything from design to final install locally, we can offer tighter reveal calibration and faster onsite adjustments, ensuring your kitchen or bathroom renovation stays on schedule despite the busy Austin construction market.
Yes, mixing finishes is a hallmark of transitional design. As seen in this project, we paired modern black hardware with the green kitchen and champagne bronze with the navy vanity. The key is maintaining a consistent cabinetry style—such as the shaker profile used here—to create a cohesive aesthetic that feels artisanal and curated rather than mismatched.
